lady-satyr!
i know they’re typically dudes but hey,
cant help but draw ladies all the time apparently.
this will be my last post for a little while,
I’m on vacation in belize starting today for the next twenty days!
this one is just experimenting with light and color
especially light sources
think i could still use some practice with forest scenes
sketch and digital
A concept sketch for the upcoming alice show, not the direction I ended up going with for my final piece, but still one i like. The foliage was the most fun!

heres something a little bit more classical looking,
this is another gouache study i did recently a little bit more classical portraiture than what i usually churn out, its a light study and i’m playing with design a bit here as well
to me it looks a little bit art nouveau (late, on the edge of impressionistic realism)
fun stuff, i love working on matteboard, and i really like how the grey tone of this one shows through here and there..
So i did a whole run of these matteboard gouache studies, just playing with color and light mostly. This one is from a little sketch in my sketchbook that i dolled up, some hipster looking bullshit i know, but what can i say, im easily influenced.
I was trying for that under the canopy dappled light effect, i feel like it was less than effective, but i like the color and design of it though, so up it goes
Yeti! abominable snowman, bigfoot, this guy has a name on every continent.
I’m just as facinated with urban myths as ancient ones,
and this guy is one of my favorites
the truth is out there…
gouache and matteboard
hey heres another one from drink and draw!
this was an impromptu collaboration between myself and tyler witzel, there was a bunch of passing off drawings to be inked or colored last time, good fun! I absolutely like it better for tylers rad ink style
its the creepiest witch?
gouache & brushpen
a weird little sketch from the book, thought it might make a cool button
i’m calling it the geo witch button
anyways, this took like 10 minutes, more of a color test than anything legit, but i like it
